The Photo Tech

August 13, 2006

When you are on location for a night investigation, you will need several pieces of essential equipment. Your camera with a flash, tripod, and a good lense cleaning cloth. The camera is self explainatory, but why a tripod and a lense cloth?

A tripod is always a good idea, it keeps your camera steady and reduces blur which could have lead to the appearance of something paranormal. Being outside, there is always a chance of dust or moisture accumalating on your lense. A good microfiber cloth made for optics will help you keep your lens spot free.

As I mentioned, your camera should have a flash. Regardless if it is the built in flash or an external speed light, the flash will help illuminate the area you're photographing. Always remember, whenever you use your flash there is a good chance of finding "orbs" in your pictures. What happens is when you flash fires, it reflects off of airborn dust particles, or moisture, and they appear as "orbs".

As always, if you have any questions about photography, paranormal or otherwise, feel free to send them to the Photo Tech at clyburnphotos@aol.com

Tip of The Month:

It's always exciting when you purchase a new camera (or electronis in general). Keep in mind, you should always become familiar with your new camera and accessories before taking them on an investigation.
