Mothman 2007

September 5, 2008

The annual Mothman festival for 2007 is over, but definitely not forgotten. Being the 6the one in a row, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The Prodigy Paranormal Group attended this year (our 2nd consecutive appearance) and were pleasantly suprised at the turnout. There were many vendors, ranging from paranormal researchers to local folks. There is a lot of energy at the festival and huge crowds. The weather was gorgeous and the festivities were non-stop.

Congrats to Jeff Wambsley and the city of Point Pleasant for another job well done!

We setup our 3-tiered booth as usual, having one committed to merchandise, one to evidence collected, and a new section this year for the Science and Technologies of paranormal research, where we highlighted various types of equipment and showcased a new device that we've built that's designed to detect static electric fields. And last but not least, we also added the EVP listener station that allowed folks to sit down and listen to some of our EVP's.

In addition to the equipment, we also demonstrated equipment called a "light listener", which illustrates (audibly) the speed at which light flickers, and highlighted nicely to the speech presented at the festival by our own Alicia Rubin concerning the observational limitations of the human brain and senses.

In addition to attending the festival, we get to join up with other research groups, including Ghostly Talk for our own search for the Mothman!!!

See you all next year!!!
